What is the purpose of the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals Charity?

We advance care for heart and lung patients and by 2027 we want to be recognised as a leader in fighting heart and lung conditions.

Our Charity funds innovative treatment, equipment and research at Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals, that fall outside of reasonable expectations of NHS funding.

Many of our projects are not 'nice to haves' but are essential to the lives and wellbeing of patients and their loved ones. From the small but impactful, like camp beds for parents to stay beside their child at night, to bigger appeals such as our Gamma Camera Appeal, funding pioneering technology to give more patients quicker, more detailed scans to inform their treatment.

What is it like to work at the Charity?

We have a small, committed and skilled team, with expertise across fundraising, marketing, HR, property management, grant making and financial management.

As a small but agile team, we can set ourselves challenging goals to achieve more for our charity's beneficiaries, work as one team to share information and ideas, as well as value our diverse backgrounds and contributions. We love to solve problems using our resources, networks and our creativity to provide a better service, and create opportunities to learn and support each other to grow. Finally, we enjoy our work, celebrating our successes and finding time to have fun as a team.

What are the key benefits of working at the Charity?
