High quality images of a patient are vital for everything our hospitals do, from bringing the certainty of a diagnosis to anxious patients; to helping clinicians decide on a course of treatment; to providing the detailed images needed for complex life-saving procedures.

This is why at the Charity, we strive to keep our hospitals at the leading edge of imaging technology. To do this we are raising funds to buy a brand-new gamma camera for

This new machine, the first of its kind in London, will use revolutionary technology to identify conditions with the highest accuracy, by taking a 360 degree view of the body, at an earlier stage than other imaging methods can, such as X-rays or an ultrasound. It will also make it possible to provide much higher quality and faster images to clinicians making crucial decisions on a course of treatment. Colin White
