What does Harefield mean to you?

Harefield Hospital is a wonderful place. The hospital not only saved John’s life when he was suffering from heart failure and needed a transplant, it helped him return to his lifelong love of playing squash.

Harefield saved Sam’s life as well. Sam quickly went from running around with his children to being unable to walk to needing intensive care. Harefield never gave up on him, even when he suffered multiple cardiac arrests. Now after a transplant, he is back home with his family.

Not only did Harefield save Susie’s mum’s life when she was diagnosed with mitral valve regurgitation - when the blood flows the wrong way – but they were also able to make her a part of Susie’s wedding by recreating a small ceremony with her mum and family to celebrate her big day. These are just some of the people whose lives have been transformed by Harefield Hospital.

Everyone who has been touched by Harefield – whether patients, families, staff or local villagers – will have a story to tell as to why Harefield Hospital is so special to them. Why not join in and share your story too – we'd love to hear What does Harefield mean to you? Please do share with us what Harefield means to you by emailing [email protected]

Inspiration for a great cause

All these stories will go towards a special celebration of Harefield as part of this year’s Harefield Fun Run and Family Day. The funds we raise at the Fun Run will go towards making this brilliant hospital even better, but we need your help to do it.

On this page you can set up a fundraising page for Harefield as part of the Fun Run using the blue Fundraise button at the top. Every penny raised will go directly to supporting the patients treated at Harefield.

Get Fun Running

Once you have set up your fundraising page get ready for a day of Fun Running. You can participate in a scenic walk, jog, or run through the beautiful Harefield countryside. There is a 4-mile route or a shorter course available. It’s up to you how far you go. This will be followed by an afternoon filled with delicious food, live music, fun games, and vibrant stalls on the hospital grounds. There's something for everyone in the family.

Don't miss out on being part of this extraordinary day – join us in making the 41st Annual Harefield Fun Run and Family Day the best one yet.
